Why is it controversial to say if you made multiple women uncomfortable by touching or kissing them then you should apologize?
Touching and kissing women without their consent isn’t okay. Why is this a hard concept?
Why do we as American citizens have to make excuses for a person running for PRESIDENT?
No, Joe Biden isn’t Harvey Weinstein or anything like it. But c’mon people, his behaviors made (at least four now) women extremely uncomfortable. It’s not right.
I’m already losing followers for this but the conversation needs to be had.
(i’m gonna go back to digging through corporate and bank documents now)

I can’t decide what to do with my life.
I want to have a steady investigative journalist job but I don’t like having a boss and I like having freedom. But I can’t make nearly enough to live remaining independent.
To clarify: I don’t mind having a boss but in the very specific field of investigative journalism I think freedom from deadlines and too much oversight is critical. Thanks for coming to my therapy session.

Oh my god
There's now piling evidence that a Chinese intelligence operation might've infiltrated the Trump/GOP donor circle.
Cindy Yang (who has pictures with almost everyone in the GOP and is a Trump donor) lured Yujing Zhang to Mar-a-Lago for an event. The event was cancelled but Zhang showed up - with 2 passports, a laptop, 4 cell phones, an external hard drive and a USB with malware.

The thing about Biden, which is the thing about a lot of men, is that he’s not a “predator” in the sense that he’s maliciously planning to hug women without their consent, or getting off on making people uncomfortable.
No, I genuinely think that Biden simply cannot see outside of himself — that he believes that if he views the world one way, that is how it is.
You see this in his video: he seems incapable of conceiving if the possibility that his hugs have always been unwanted by some people. Instead, hugs are a way of showing caring, and the only problem is we now show caring with selfies instead.

Firstly, lets put it out there that liking Seungri before this issue blew up doesn't make you a bad person. I liked BigBang and I've even been to 3 or 4 of their concerts (before the marijuana scandals and sh). Nobody knew about this until just one month away.
If you continue to support him, however, that makes you worse than him. You're acknowledging that there is an issue, but continuing to support him. That's horrible.

Once upon a time, a long-ruling Queen had a daughter (who we’ll call Gigi, which is long for GG which is short for Goose Girl) who she loved very much. Nice to see some genuine familial affection for once, generally it’s the parents causing the mayhem.
The time had come for Gigi to leave home & travel to a distant kingdom where her fiancé, the prince waited. As she was Queen’s only child, the departure was, emotional.

Having finished The Authoritarians, it's time to start a new thread of #IanLivetweetsHisResearch. Today I am finally getting past the introduction of How Propaganda Works by Jason Stanley.
Having slogged through some proper academic writing in my day, Stanley's writing is blessedly accessible. But after Altemeyer's light tone and constant dad jokes, Stanley's reads as pretty dry.
So far the introduction is full of a lot of quotations about the nature of democracy, from Victor Klemperer to Elizabeth Anderson to Plato. OF COURSE Plato.
