Department of vast hypocrisy:
So many pundits and fellow Democrats talking about Biden’s “affectionate nature,” and how touchy style is “not disqualifying.”
I don’t disagree (I have other problems with Biden.)
But....1/
2/ We didn’t hear all that when Al Franken was ousted from the senate. Are we totally creatures of the political moment? Is the “affectionate style” of an old timey churchgoing “man’s man” more acceptable than the affectionate style of a Jewish ex-comic?
3/ Respecting women’s experiences is not the only issue at stake here.

Elizabeth Warren is right; impeaching is the principled thing to do, the RIGHT thing to do. But contrary to what I keep hearing from other dems, it’s also logically and politically the right course. Here’s why:
1) It’s silly to worry about backlash from diehard Trump supporters. They are already giddy with love for him & think the Mueller report is a witch-hunt. But who cares? They aren’t going to change no matter what happens—they don’t even believe in facts—so why even factor them in?
2) As for more rational people, the more specific detail they learn about Trump’s crimes, the better. And nothing will bring that into the headlines better than impeachment. Most aren’t reading the report, or watching MSNBC. Action, not analysis, is what will get their attention.

Why make this a Hillary/Sanders game again? The overwhelming # of HRC supporters are looking to 2020 & our criticisms of 2016 are in the service of not letting optics, irrationality and media bias win the day again. 1/
By jumping on the media’s premature, sexist coronation of a white male savior you have forgotten all the lessons of 2016. Yes, we should all come together —but we have a better chance of that happening by insisting the media stop its mindless, self-fulfilling pronouncements. 2/
As you yourself say, we’ve got great progressive candidates to choose from, and surprise!!—some of them are women. They would have a fighting chance, too, if the media pumped them up the way they have the boys. 3/

1/ Ppl. ask, why #liberals are infighting so much over 2020. B/c the stakes are the highest possible & most of us are desperate. But 2 types of desperation:

a) normals who want an electable progressive & fear 1972 redux
b) extremists who think this is finally their moment to win
2/ Normals are afraid of:
a) the decent candidates who lost close elections (e.g. 2004) but also
b) 1976 type opportunities that result in poor leaders (sorry Carter fans, but, ugh)
c) quixotic 'perfect' candidates who crash & burn, e.g. 1972, 1952, 1956
3/ Extremists, by definition, often have effective tactics but for bad ends. B/c 72 & 76 show how goofy liberal avatars result in either total losses (72) or temp. gains that lead to even worse defeats (76)

But Es learn the wrong lessons from everything. They too must be stopped

#Democrats will never learn. First they announce that they going to investigate #FOXNEWS a blatant violation of their 1st Ammendment rights over Stormy Daniels story they decided not to run at the end of the Election due to lack of confirmation of facts.

Now they are trying to get President Trump’s tax returns before he was president to try and find a crime to impeach him.

Ordinary citizens shouldn’t have to spend their life savings and every waking minute trying to figure out if electronic election outcomes are legitimate. Campaigns themselves should compare precinct results to reported outcomes, review digital ballot images, & dig deeper.... 1/
.... when outcomes defy the polls or follow substantial reports of problems with the machines themselves. Having spent the better part of two years on Election integrity myself, I am furious. Furious that campaigns refuse to conduct this basic due diligence. 2/
