So what on earth were @DLidington and @Keir_Starmer actually doing the last few days. No entente at all: A Labour Party spokesperson said: “We are disappointed that the government has not offered real change or compromise...
“We urge the Prime Minister to come forward with genuine changes to her deal in an effort to find an alternative that can win support in Parliament and bring the country together.”
Am told that what PM offered was her deal with a restatement of role for parliament in shaping future deal (the Snell/Nandy plan) and guarantees on workers rights. Which Labour has said for weeks is not enough. Nuts

Sources close to the Labour leader believe that tomorrow the emergency NEC meeting, which determines the Labour manifesto for the EU elections, will agree a formula that is "a restatement" of the party's equivocal and prolix party conference resolution of last September. BUT...
a senior trade union source tells me that if Unison, GMB and Usdaw are bulldozed tomorrow, if their demand for Labour to commit to a "confirmatory" referendum on any Brexit deal is simply ignored, Corbyn and his colleagues are "being delusional about the likely consequences"...

So I now hear @DavePrentis and the giant Unison union are in fact closer to @tom_watson than @jeremycorbyn on how Labour’s approach to a referendum should be characterised in its EU election manifesto.
In other words, at the emergency NEC meeting on Tuesday, Unison will back a form of words that makes it clear that a confirmatory referendum would be necessary in almost any practical circumstances of a Brexit deal being approved by MPs.
In fact Prentis fears Corbyn misunderstood his position when he expressed it at that meeting with him last Tuesday. So just maybe Corbyn has not yet stitched up a victory for the more equivocal position on a referendum he prefers.

2. The left of the party however, is a shitshow of hipster communists and gobby younglings who know fuck all about nine tenths of anything, pushing a socialist agenda they don't understand much less comprehend the implications of it.

1. Russian deal
2. India Statement on Iran oil
3. No rate cut by RBI
4. Uday Kotak on ILFS board
5. Tightening NBFC
6. Chanda Kochar left ICICI

Indian markets & even currency should cheer sooner than later. #optimist #investor
If stocks can fall 20-30-40% in day, they can rise 30-40-50% also in a day. Can be an interesting start to the week. Finishing my write-up soon...watchout for words from one retail investor :)

7. Trump unhappy with Fed rate hike - In my view, Fed rate hike and trade war can impact US economy in more bad than good.

Another positive for Indian markets.

Macros should start turning soon in favor of India like low oil, better INR and hence better markets

(Thread) To all @UKLabour candidates in the upcoming May local elections:

Unfortunately I will not be able to vote for you as a representative of the Labour Party; this is despite having been a #Labour voter myself in the past. Please allow me to explain briefly my reasons why.
After the sacking of Owen Smith, I cannot vote for @UKLabour in any shape or form at the moment due to Jeremy Corybn's approach towards #Brexit which I view as highly undemocratic and contradictory to what the Labour party is meant to stand for ("for the many, not the few"?).
The attitude towards #Brexit by @jeremycorbyn and other hardcore Brexiteers like him really is now bordering on the fascist, something I find deeply disturbing. It seems that dissenters are being crushed.
