What is the point of your comment, Felicia?

Are you suggesting that people should not be allowed to call out or mock anti-semitism from a member of Congress because that member also receives terrible threats?
Does this apply to anyone else? I'm sure Steve King also received threats so should we not call out his racism?

A guy who parroted Dem attacks on Republican healthcare plans tried to assassinate a bunch of members on a baseball field, are Dem critics responsible?
Several people have been arrested for their threats against Trump. Do reporters bring those arrests up every time they cite critical comments from Democrats like Rep Omar against Trump?

Hamas has been assaulting/killing Palestinians for almost a month. Omar has said nothing.

What has Omar said about Iran's human rights abuses?

What has she said about the PA's abuses?

What about abuses by Turkey?

etc etc.
Omar has actually used perceived abuses by allies as an excuse to defend not calling out some of the worst abusers in the world (such as Venezuela's Maduro).

It's pathetic what some of the most prominent people on the left are willing to normalize and excuse.
Still can’t get over this. Hayes is treated as one of the more honest/respectable brokers on the left, but here he is trying to normalize antisemitism on the left by giving Omar cover with an obvious falsehood.

This is beyond embarrassing and offensive. The bills in question relate to punishing sanctuary cities and insisting local authorities cooperate with federal authorities.
These bills will have almost no impact on legal immigrants or other Americans. The intentional attempts to conflate all "immigrants and people of color" with illegal aliens is incredibly offensive to those communities.
Feel free to support less enforcement and amnesty policies, but don't lie and insult people by suggesting that simple advocacy for cities to enforce laws against illegal immigration is an attack on minorities or legal immigrants.

Omar makes 8 specific claims in this thread. 6 of them are false or very misleading.

The problem isn't that she's consistently dishonest, but that the press takes no interest in correcting her dishonesty.
To go through them:

Yes, kind are being kept in facilities with chain-linked fences, just as thousands were during the Obama admin (thus why many of the pics are from 2014).

Anti-Semitism on the left not only exists, but there’s a wider group of people who are in total denial about it and dismiss any suggestion it’s there as a smear campaign.

This is completely out of order and has to be confronted and defeated.
Yes, right wing elements will always hijack, weaponise and manipulate any issue. That doesn’t mean the issue doesn’t exist.

If I start randomly punching people, right wing elements would use that against the left. That doesn’t mean I’m not randomly punching people!
You can both condemn and oppose anti-Semitism, and oppose Israel’s brutal and illegal occupation. And - and here’s a critical point - you can have a conversation about each without bringing in the other.
