1/ Long before @RandyEBarnett and I identified 100 #SCOTUS cases everyone should know, in 2011, I identified the 300 #SCOTUS cases everyone should know. And crammed them all into a single lecture at the Penn State Law School: #100cases
2/ In hindsight, I got some stuff wrong. Yet, so many of my teaching mannerisms were established barely two years out of law school. I am forever grateful to Judge GIbson for letting me teach the class with him. That course inspired my love of teaching.

1/ My ConLaw exam last semester: Lincoln was impeached, and removed from office. He sued the Sec of Treasury in Court of Claims for his salary; Lincoln claimed that he did not violate the Constitution. That case was then appealed to #SCOTUS joshblackman.com/blog/2019/01/0…
2/ Lincoln asked #SCOTUS to decide if the Secretary properly withheld his salary. That question would turn on whether in fact Lincoln committed high crimes or misdemeanors. I concocted this fact pattern as one way the Court could be asked to review an impeachment proceeding.
3/ I deliberately ask students to answer questions at some time in the past, unencumbered by current #SCOTUS precedent. Here, students have to assess the question as a matter of first principles.

What the media doesn't want you to know about why people choose to not vaccinate their children: a thread.

1. Parents who exercise their right to refuse vaccines care deeply about their children. This decision is not made in ignorance, nor out of fear.
2. They are tired of the talking points and official pronouncements, unsupported by sound science. These parents no longer consider the Centers for Disease Control, the American Academy of Pediatrics, or the US Federal Drug Administration to be reliable sources of information.
3. These institutions, along with the Institute of Medicine and the WHO, are front groups, controlled by pharmaceutical companies. These institutions promote vaccination policies while presenting themselves as independent, authoritative sources on vaccine safety.

Five minutes until a one-box day at #SCOTUS (meaning one or two decisions in argued cases).
The only #SCOTUS decision today is a unanimous one in Mount Lemon Fire District v. Guido. Ginsburg writes, affirming the 9th Circuit. Kavanaugh did not participate.
