📌How to design a brain 101🧠🏗️

A 🧵 on how I use @powerpoint to create illustrations

🎨Key tools and my 2 secret weapons:

-@gboulouis adding "advanced" stuff
-@MVarkanitsa reviewing every little detail

#MedTwitter #MedEd #NeuroTwitter #NeuroRad #Neurology #neuropath #FOAMed
This 🧵 is inspired by a great recent post from @teachplaygrub, since we are using similar methods and tools on #PowerPoint!

🛠️ The Basic Toolkit:
-curve function ➰
-edit points function✴️
-Layering 🃏
-Zooming (x300-400%) for details 🔍

🎨 colors, shadows, 3D effects etc., depends on individual's style

1/Like a bad piano player in a run down bar--I take requests! By popular demand, a🧵on how I make those illustrations for my #tweetorials--all in #PowerPoint!
This one shows how to create shadow & highlights to give a 3D effect

2/Let's use this french fry illustration I used for my varices🧵
I use the curve function to create shapes. It has the most control for drawing--the freeform function causes uneven lines.
After drawing the shape, I use the shape fill function to fill it in it w/the color I need Image
3/ 3D effects begin w/the gradient fill. I use the gradient fill that powerpoint offers for my selected color--it knows how to chose them so that the gradient is smooth Image

Want to make "AMAZING PRESENTATIONS" that your audience will fall in love?

If so, make sure your @powerpoint presentations follows these evidence based communication principles.

🧵 for #researcher, #startups.
@PhD_Genie @AcademicChatter @PhDVoice #PhD #presentation
This 8 principles are based on publication by Kosslyn et al (2012) published in frontiers in psychology.
1) Dont be that person who apologises for a text that is too small. Always go for a minimum 20 point size. Use high-resolution images. Colour hues should be well separated ( Discriminability ). Don't unintentionally camouflage your images 😄

DOJ said no.
Pentagon said no.
DHS said no.

New accounts show that the former president was more directly involved than previously known in plans developed by outside advisers to use national security agencies to seek evidence of fraud. /1 archive.is/jIvEj
Trump directed Rudy Giuliani to make a remarkable call. Trump wanted him to ask DHS if it could legally take control of voting machines in key swing states, 3 people familiar said.

Giuliani called the deputy director, who said he lacked authority to audit or impound machines./2
Waldron first proposed the notion of the Pentagon’s involvement to Trump’s former national security adviser, Mike Flynn, whom he says he served with in the Defense Intelligence Agency. /3

Hey Gateway Pundit,
Why did you remove this "bombshell" report from your website?

@January6thCmte it's been archived though, so Gateway Pundit isn't able to hide.

@January6thCmte So far you have only subpoenaed John Eastman from Claremont Institute. I implore you to question ALL Claremont's staff & Fellows. They believe America to be in a cold civil war & its time we serve them a healthy dose of reality. #InstitutesofMassDestruction
Remember, the Claremont Institute along with the Texas Public Policy Foundation (TPPF) ran simulations for the post-election chaos they were anticipating. Their "wargame" scenario included the plans laid out in the #PowerPoint recently discovered.
The Claremont-TPPF simulation used an iterative process running over the course of 6 days to simulate the days & weeks after Election Day.

Chuck DeVore, VP of Nat'l Initiatives for TPPF designed & led the simulation.

PSA on #MarkMeadows and #PowerPoint slides

This isn't a hair-on-fire moment. Mainstream media has been responsible not reporting it as such.

I’ve written Meadows has significant criminal exposure

But this is not strong evidence of that.

A few key points to consider…
<thread>
2. All we know is Mark Meadows had the slides on this phone.

Not that he plotted it, not that he or any administration officials created it, not that he did something nefarious (or did anything) with it.
3. Meadows’ lawyer says the reason they voluntarily turned over the document is because Meadows did nothing with it -- and is accordingly not claiming it is ‘privileged’ info that should be kept from congressional investigators.

1/7 🧵 Using #PowerPoint in your virtual meetings? Here’s a short thread on making your presentations accessible.

1) Use sans serif fonts, no smaller than 16 points, and make sure there’s a high contrast between your text and your background colour.

webaim.org/resources/cont… A graphic showing a monitor screen on an orange background.
2/7 🧵 2) Title each slide to help anyone navigating through your presentation quickly. If you can’t fit a particular topic on a single slide, use ‘[Slide title] part 1’, ‘[Slide title] part 2’ etc. rather than repeating or skipping a title.

👍 #accessibility #a11y #PowerPoint
3/7 🧵 3) Add #AltText to your images, charts and graphs, so they can be read by screen readers. Right click on your image, and choose ‘Format Picture’ then ‘Alt Text’. You can add a brief title, followed by a more detailed description.

2- Network Temelleri

OSI Modelini ve 7 katmanı; temel protokolleri(#TCP-IP, TCP-UDP, #HTTP, #FTP), güvenlik protokollerini(#HTTPS, #SFTP, #SSL), monitoring protokolleri(#SNMP, ICMP) bilmekte fayda var. Ayrıca ağ ekipmanlarının görevlerini tanımak ve 7Layer yerlerini bilmek lazım

Mini #tweetorial for anyone who wants to learn how to do a good PowerPoint presentation:

Tip 1: Look and sound bored. Sigh a lot.
Tip 2:
Look towards your PowerPoint and away from your audience. This way they will appreciate the back of your haircut and everyone can avoid awkward eye contact
Tip 3:
Put lots of fancy graphs and tables loaded with data in there that take 5-10 minutes to understand. Give your audience 15 seconds to admire them and move on to the next slide

1\ Have you heard this reasoning? "#Ethereum is better than #Bitcoin because it can do more." => "The EVM is Turing-complete and Bitcoin Script isn't, so Ethereum is a better cryptocurrency." => "Bitcoin's creators were too early/stupid/blind to make Bitcoin Turing-complete."
2\ This is a blatant misunderstanding! To a non-technical person, Turing-completeness and being able to compute anything is *obviously* better. But programmers know that Turing-completeness is Pandora's box: you don't know what it contains and you can't close it once opened...
3\ ...Turing-completeness is like a nuclear explosion. Once the threshold density/temperature is breached, fission fuel self-ignites and explodes. The hard part isn't blowing past the threshold, but staying as close to it as possible: energy => criticality => balance => control.
