1. I was just researching measles outbreaks and saw a photograph. I looked at the caption. It was taken by my father, Dr. Heinz Eichenwald, a world-renowned pediatric infectious disease expert, during his time at the CDC.

And for the first time, I realized I am glad he is not...
2...with us anymore. To see his life's work, traveling the world in combat of infectious disease in the United States, Southeast Asia, Latin America, and everywhere else, be reduced to nonsense by ignorant anti-vaxxers would be horrifying to him. I'm not sure, but I think I....
3...remember him telling me about the kid whose skin he photographed. If I remember correctly, the kid died. He saw many, many people die because vaccines were not available. When I was a child, world experts like Albert Sabin and Nobel Prize winners dropped by our house to...
4...visit my dad. These were amazing people, with amazing stories of work they did to save the suffering. I remember one Nobel winner showed us a photograph of him taking a photograph of an African tribesman lining up to throw a spear at him. That man saved untold numbers of...
5...Africans through the identification of Kuru.

We were not wealthy. None of these people were. They were not in the pocket of "Big pharma." They were not worried about idiotic "choices" because they saw children, across the globe, die in agony from totally preventable....

7..to these idiots who don't ever read research, but just garbage on the internet, it is heartbreaking. Im glad my dad isn't here to see it. That we have measles & mumps outbreaks in USA would be incomprehensible to him. He would ask, why do these people want to harm their kids?
8...and if you want to see the photograph my father took of the child who I believe died (some child he photographed died, it might not be this one)...here it is.
