Hige queues at heathrow ... looks like UK is saying "Atlanta, hold my beer"
Ok, that's impessive ... despite the huge numbers of people, about 5 x Atlanta, I reckon we will be through this in under 8 minutes.
I am seriously impressed by UK border force ... that was incredibly fast.
Amazing. I was expecting such a huge number of people to mean 3 or 4 hours and ... wow, through in about 8 mins. Hats off to UK Border Force. That is the most efficient airport I've ever experienced.
Oh, and before any more "did they let everyone just through" ... nope, but the speed of those passport scanning machines in numbers was ...very good. Not often I'm impressed by an airport but Heathrow was exceptional.

Me : Hmmm, Infrastructure as a Service is not about serverless. Neither are containers even if you provide it as a service. Think about consuming services but also mix in moving up the stack i.e. above "runtime" as a service ...
... as a "rough guide", if there is a runtime and you don't care / manage it then you're firmly into the world of serverless whether it's a data store / query service or a code execution environment.
There's also a perspective aspect here. Every decade or so, I build an awesome games machine ... liquid cooled, the works. How many games do I play? I don't ... I just like building machines and seeing how far I can push it. If I wanted to play games, I'd buy an xbox ...

So let's talk #MapCamp 2019 - eventbrite.com/e/map-camp-201… ... it's a real pleasure to have @SalFreudenberg opening up the talks with "Social and cognitive benefits of mapping". Sal is an amazing speaker. One not to be missed.
After @SalFreudenberg, we have the legend that is @littleidea discussing "What is the best move?"

Just to add fire to the mix, we go stratospheric with another legend - @adrianco before @Rachel0404 brings us back to earth with "building a company with maps".

Me : Alas, I've been a bit wiped out recently. Well on the road to recovery. Hopefully, all back to normal tomorrrow. Oodles to catch up on. Not looking forward to opening the mailbox.
Gosh, about 600 emais, 150 linked in messages and piles of tweets to go through. Tomorrow is mainly going to be catch-up.
However, what's really encouraging is to scan through lots of examples of people talking about and using my form of maps. This is a field which now has its own legs, its own community and momentum ...

The prize for most misleading headline for today goes to The Times!
It says: Brexit: £3.5m adverts ask EU citizens to stay
But in reality, the adverts aren't asking us to say, oh no... 1/
The adverts will ask EU citizens to "secure their status after Brexit".
That's not the same as asking us to stay. That's asking us to apply so we won't be kicked out. Big difference.
Settled status is an application process, not a registration process. 2/
If it were a registration process, we'd see a 100% success rate. An application process has no guarantees.
We still don't have clarity about what the UK will do with our personal data when we apply. Still, you want to stay, you have no choice but apply 3/

A Guardian blogger claimed that my book tells people to stop taking anti-depressants & this idea got quite widely spread. My book doesn’t say that. Their readers’ editor has now issued a clarification.
In fact it says, p37: “I don’t want to take away anything that gives anyone some relief. If for you the benefits outweigh the side-effects, you should carry on.” That’s been my advice to my own relatives.
