X : You haven't been tweeting much?
Me : Alas, I've been a bit wiped out recently. Well on the road to recovery. Hopefully, all back to normal tomorrrow. Oodles to catch up on. Not looking forward to opening the mailbox.
Gosh, about 600 emais, 150 linked in messages and piles of tweets to go through. Tomorrow is mainly going to be catch-up.
However, what's really encouraging is to scan through lots of examples of people talking about and using my form of maps. This is a field which now has its own legs, its own community and momentum ...
... next milestone is when the community creates and expands the content beyond my ability to keep up and surpasses me.

I might strongly, even vehemently, disagree with a person's policies but I do have respect for the public service they have provided. I do think it's time for May to stand down but I recognise the effort and attempt to find some form of compromise on brexit. Alas, not this path.
My future concern is now the possibility of "Farage as PM". Not because of who he is but rather the unknown of what comes with him. A populist party quickly generated can hide all sorts of views and unknowns within it. Storming EU elections without even a manifesto is ... well.

Questioning contributions, milkshakes and accusations around Farage finances ... are people deliberately trying to get the Brexit party to top 50% of the vote?
Reading some of the reactions, counter responses, lack of real discussion on any positive manifesto addressing current concerns .... oh dear. Are we really doing this? Prime Minister Farage? Seriously? Just let him hijack the newscycle? OODA anyone? Trump learned how to do this.
Oh gosh, this is horrifying. Can we please get Dominic Cummings to do a high speed "Odyssean" education on our political leaders so they don't mess this up. Or are we really going to amateur hour our way to Farage as PM?

On mapping and political systems. At the heart of what is fundamentally broken is the way we measure things and how we are unwilling to cope with uncertainty, attempting to define in simple measures i.e. finance (which itself suffers the same flaw). Capital is more than this ...
... but to explore this, and the importance of social capital and why finance (i.e. money) is a flawed measure, I need to expand peoples horizon's a little bit with mapping.
I'll start that journey here, just a little bit to get people thinking. Maps are themselves maps of capital. That capital evolves and has many forms (physical, knowledge etc). I simply use different labels for each of the different forms at each of the stages of evolution.

A bit of background on me, I was born in Dublin, raised in Carrick on Suir, moved to Cork for College, met Wayne, had Carla, moved to Waterford, got degree, got married, had Nathan. I work full-time for a not-for-profit, and my hobbies include food & jigsaw puzzles.
In 2015 I found out I was pregnant with our 3rd baby. Nathan was only 1, Carla was 7. I was working a job with a 100km commute & long hours & pregnancy was not in the plan. But as my dad says, "we plan, God laughs". It didn't take long to get excited about another baba.

1. "#Happiness" can scare #anxiety patients. In our heads, things are always going wrong. Fear of a "happy" moment undone is doubly painful.
