X : Serverless is all about services.
Me : Hmmm, Infrastructure as a Service is not about serverless. Neither are containers even if you provide it as a service. Think about consuming services but also mix in moving up the stack i.e. above "runtime" as a service ...
... as a "rough guide", if there is a runtime and you don't care / manage it then you're firmly into the world of serverless whether it's a data store / query service or a code execution environment.
There's also a perspective aspect here. Every decade or so, I build an awesome games machine ... liquid cooled, the works. How many games do I play? I don't ... I just like building machines and seeing how far I can push it. If I wanted to play games, I'd buy an xbox ...
... the same with business. If my focus is on the business and user needs then I'm going to be using serverless. If my focus is building amazing infrastructure and seeing how far I can push the kit, then I'll do that. The two are not the same.
