Thank you to everyone who's been praying for Miss E. I am really sorry to tell you we did not get the news we were hoping for this morning. 1/

E has ten tumors in both lungs, all pretty small. Eight of them are larger than they were a few months ago.

We've pretty much run out of standard treatment options, so now we're going to have look at clinical trials. 2/

There is some good news mixed in with the bad: there are no signs of the cancer spreading beyond her lungs. There are no new tumors. And she is relatively young and healthy (besides the whole cancer thing), and should be a good candidate for a trial. 3/

I've already started looking online, and have honestly found it to be a little overwhelming and bewildering to try and figure out which one might be best, or even applicable. But at least it gives me something to do instead of just feeling so helpless. 4/

We're not giving up. She is still in the fight. But I'd be lying if I said we weren't freaking out. We both went in to her doctor's appointment today anticipating the worst but hoping for the best, but to anticipation isn't the same as actually hearing the words. 5/

I keep veering from "numb" to "terrified". Not in front of her though. For Miss E I am positive. I am strong. I am her rock. It's the only thing I can do.

Thank you again for your love and support throughout her fight. I appreciate it, and we need it now more than ever. 6/6
