As we consider the long-term impacts of the decision to impeach or not impeach on the basis of the Mueller Report, we should cast our mind forward to 2022 when the GOP demands a special council to look into a Democratic President's well documented history of brazen jaywalking.
The kicker will come when the special council uncovers the time that [insert Democratic President's name] failed to report their $184 Discover cashback bonus in 2003, and call for them to be immediately imprisoned for tax fraud.
My favorite moment in this episode will be when Lindsey Graham gives an impassioned speech on the Senate floor, saying how pained this makes him to have to do this, but "are we a country of laws or are we not?"
