1. Trump now claims, via tweet, that Don McGahn lied on him. So, let’s discuss the implications of that: when a defendant is convicted and thereafter makes allegations against his attorney (i.e., my attorney was ineffective, lied to me about my chances of acquittal, etc.)...
2. That attorney is NO LONGER BOUND by attorney-client privilege. In other words, the attorney-client priv. yields so the attorney can defend himself against claims made by the client. So . . . now that Trump has attacked McGahn, calling him a liar, any lingering notion that...
3. McGahn is prevented from testifying due to some privilege is out the window (not that I’m suggesting any asserted privilege would have won the day given the earlier waiver of privilege when the WH let McGahn meet with Mueller)...
4. Trump has undercut his own position once again thanks to his reckless and ridiculous tweets. I say, please keep tweeting Mr. President as YOU are your own worst enemy.
