The following are my thoughts, a bit of baring my soul, & some general social commentary. This has been a tough week as I watched @FranklinGraham be justifiably ridiculed for his hypocrisy regarding @PeteButtigieg while simultaneously venerating a serial philanderer.

@franklingraham @PeteButtigieg I grew up in a pastor's home with church attendance mandatory AT LEAST 3 times a week. As an adult, my wife and I attended church with our kids every time they opened the doors.

@franklingraham @PeteButtigieg I'll confess that I rarely attend church these days. It simply hurts too much to attend.
I avoid thinking about God in the context of American religion because what I see of it doesn't match the loving Savior that I read about in my daily Bible time.

@franklingraham @PeteButtigieg It hurts to see people who spent decades telling me that principles matter, that integrity is essential and that morals are necessary in our leaders now making excuses for lies, infidelity, sexual assault, financial misconduct and a litany of criminal activities.

@franklingraham @PeteButtigieg I can't bear to listen to people talk about the importance of sharing the good news with those who need love when I've been listening to them bashing "illegals" as animals and rapists for the other 6 days.

@franklingraham @PeteButtigieg "But Hillary" just doesn't stand up when I read God's commands 4 choosing leaders."But Obama" flounders when I read about judging a person by their fruit."But Judges" rings hollow dripping from lips of people who taught me consequentialism is antithetical to Christianity.

@franklingraham @PeteButtigieg Yes, my eyes should be on Jesus and not on those around me but frankly, I find that easier without being confronted by "in your face" hypocrisy.

Jesus loves the little children. All the children of the world. Even the little brown ones in your hometown who may not have papers.
God help US and please send a revival to America!
