Adam Schiff says he will make a criminal referral of Trump ally Erik Prince for possible perjury, based on his testimony to the House Intelligence Committee. Schiff's lawyer replies, essentially, Mueller had his chance to indict, and he didn't. washingtonpost.com/politics/schif…
I wrote about this possibility a few days ago w/ @karoun. Of note, Prince spoke to Mueller under a proffer agreement, which suggests Prince may have believed he could be charged with crimes. washingtonpost.com/world/national…
Prince's lawyer maintains there "is no new evidence here," and that Prince "cooperated completely" with Mueller. But he doesn't mention the proffer agreement, the terms of which aren't public.
Correction: Prince's lawyer says Mueller had his chance to indict.
