Hillary Clinton was on Rachel Maddow last night and declared that the United States is on the "road to tyranny" and House Democrats should "move toward" potential impeachment. She also said impeachment "if done right" would not be a political problem for Dems
Hillary added that Putin "doesn't like me because I stood up for America," and unnamed Russian officials are now sitting in Moscow wondering, "What are we going to do to help him (Trump) this time," meaning in the 2020 election. Hillary is still stoking the fires here, big time
Hillary praised Rachel Maddow's coverage of Trump/Russia and avowed that this issue is "far from over." Hillary also disclosed that she has been privately warning 2020 Dem candidates, in Maddow's words, that they could "lose at the hands of a foreign power"

In a triumph for US political discourse, @benjaminwittes and I were able to convert our prior Twitter rancor into a productive conversation about the Mueller Report, collusion, the media, and where we differ on those subjects. It was pretty interesting! patreon.com/posts/26649926
In all seriousness, there have been vanishingly few good faith discussions between "Russia collusion skeptics," roughly speaking (like me) and "Russia collusion proponents," roughly speaking (like Wittes). So in that sense, doing this was really healthy and I appreciated it.
I'd also like to point out that despite our sizable differences, Wittes and I both agree that Mueller *did* in fact investigate collusion, which you can apprehend by reading Page 180 in Volume I of the Mueller Report. So, Twitter nitwits can put that in their pipe and smoke it

Tulsi receives another unusual endorsement: from Ron Paul. "Tulsi Gabbard is by far the very, very best," he says
You can discount this but Ron Paul came in third in the 2012 GOP New Hampshire primary. There is no party registration required in NH. And there will likely be no contested GOP race. So libertarians, independents, and assorted others could easily vote for Tulsi
I interviewed Ron Paul in 2017 and he praised Tulsi as "heroic"

If the economy stays relatively "good," at least in the macro sense, I wouldn't underestimate the appeal of returning to the pre-Trump status quo in the Dem electorate. Yes, there's upheaval globally and in the US, but it can be counteracted by a nostalgic desire for "normalcy"
Also recall: turnout in the 2016 Dem primaries was relatively low, which augured Hillary's eventual defeat. It's likely to be much higher in 2020. And people turning out could disproportionately be "normie Dems" who like Biden and aren't interested in sweeping structural change
In general, there's a tendency for pundits to assume that every election cycle subsequent to 2016 will produce the same kind of "disruption" as was evident across the spectrum that year. Alternatively, it could've just been a unique aberration. "Good" economy would reinforce this

1. Today's example of how @FoxNews deceives its viewers into a fantasy world. Hillary Clinton appears on Rachel Maddow. In discussing the impropriety of Trump calling on Russia to hack her emails, she says a "can you imagine how GOP would react if dems said..." hypothetical...
@FoxNews 2...she then mimics Trump's call for Russia to hack her by - almost word for word - saying the same thing about dems calling for China to hack for Trump's taxes. Then, she said, China starts hacking IRS, but it is deemed not collusion because it was done publicly.....
@FoxNews 3...she ends this hypothetical by saying "Just saying that shows how absurd the situation we find ourselves in is." So, no doubt, she was using a hypothetical, switching parties and nations, to show the reality of the obscenity of Trump's call for Russian hacking .....

1-So, as Barr told the committee today that it 'would be unfortunate' if Congress got the unredacted report from Mueller, and that he 'supposed' that the Chairman of Judiciary (Nadler) could go to court & ask for GJ test to be released, was that an accident? Does Barr do ANYTHING
2-by accident? Nope, I don't think so.. what the hell is going on? Are you guys watching @maddow tonight? It might be beginning to sound as tho Barr's quietly letting the way to get around his work drop..why would he do that?? #Maddow
3-At the same time, Barr's contradicting himself like CRAZY..it's pretty apparent that if Mueller's helping him decide what to redact he'd not likely give the full unredacted report to Nadler or Schiff, isn't it? AGAIN, what the HELL is going on??
