ICYMI: More than 550 former federal prosecutors signed a letter stating that Trump would be charged with obstruction of justice if he were not a sitting president.

Data journalists: The list of signatories is available in spreadsheet format, which makes it easier to calculate such things as...

* They have an average of more than 12 years DOJ experience.
* A median of nine years.

Unfortunately, district info not available for all.
Of the 560+ signers, these ex-prosecutors at some point served:

+ 300 under Clinton
+ 240 under Bush II
+ 170 under Obama
+ 170 under Carter
+ 110 under Bush I
+ 90 under Ford
+ 35 under Trump

There's lots of overlap with those serving multiple admins.

One of the strongest visual associations with the historical memory of the New Deal is the Works Progress Administration's art, theater and murals.

Serious question: Do either the federal Green New Deal or its local progeny envision increased government funding of the arts?
From what I can see, there's not a word of it in the House bill, and it's not on a 130+ point list of the New York City "indicators" of its GND: OneNYC.

It seems notable how far government arts funding has been marginalized that this part of the New Deal has been discarded.
There also seems to be a sad contradiction about an initiative that asks the public to be bold, ambitious and visionary, while simultaneously shredding all that artsy stuff from the legislation that inspired it.

ANALYSIS: @NYCMayor de Blasio believes that he should hold Trump to account, but his Green New Deal dramatically undercounted Trump's possible liabilities.

Per city data, de Blasio left out Trump's dirtiest building by far.

Here are the buildings that de Blasio included in his calculations of Trump's possible liabilities under his Green New Deal.

One of the buildings NOT on this list: 1290 Avenue of the Americas, described by Forbes as a "Secret Windfall" and "Crown Jewel." forbes.com/sites/danalexa…
Per Forbes, Trump's 30 percent stake in it makes him its largest beneficiary.

To put it in perspective, 1290 Avenue of the Americas produced more than three times in metric tons of carbon as his flagship Trump Tower in 2016.

Yesterday, Mayor de Blasio estimated Trump would owe $2.1M/year if his buildings didn't get greener by 2030.

Using #NYCOpenData on CO2 emissions for 2016, I started mapping Manhattan buildings that produced >5K metric tons that year. Work-in-progress. public.tableau.com/views/NYCbuild…
Note: I chose to filter for >5K metric tons because at least three Trump buildings fit that description in 2016.

Trump Towers: 5,780 MT CO2
Trump Building: 6,096
Trump International Hotel & Tower: 5,188

There may be a more effective way to map this, and actual data journalists might want to present other perspectives on the information. Advice welcome.

This chart, however, helps visualize where some of the biggest reported CO2-emitters stand in Manhattan (borough filter).

Most generous interpretation of Mueller Report for Trump: he encouraged, engaged w/ privately, benefited from hostile foreign country attacking US, but (due to lack of cooperation & destruction of evidence) Mueller did not have enough to criminally prove Conspiracy Against US.
Only reason Mueller did not indict President Trump for obstruction of justice is because he believes a sitting president cannot be indicted. He provides details for Congressional oversight, including impeachment hearings, and post-presidency indictment.
Even if it is not criminal to encourage & communicate w/ hostile foreign country attacking US, entire point of impeachment is to remove from office people who explicitly do not serve US. Tolerating obstruction of justice from our leaders means there is no justice for all of US.

(THREAD) The Barr Summary—a very different document from the Mueller Report—is being woefully misread by media. It doesn't import what media is suggesting it does. Lawyers are welcome to comment on this thread as I report the Summary accurately. I hope you'll read on and retweet.
1/ Mueller was supposed to decide if Donald Trump could be charged with Obstruction of Justice—or, if not chargeable, whether he should be referred to Congress for impeachment for Obstruction of Justice. But AG Barr usurped Mueller's job and decided to make that decision himself.
2/ Barr was selected by Donald Trump upon Trump's reading of documents written by Barr and sent to Trump allies arguing Trump *couldn't* be charged with Obstruction of Justice. So in not forcing Mueller to make the decision his appointment obligated him to make, Barr saved Trump.
