On this Ayesha Curry #RedTableTalk thing: I’m of two minds.

1. Her wanting to be desired and pointing out how women are constantly throwing themselves at her husband but she receives less male attention because of how society perceives her as wife, mother & Steph’s property ...
(cont.) is perfectly valid. Women want to feel desired and it’s true that Steph’s fame and fortune attracts women as much as his looks so I can see where she would feel a way.

This brings me to the second part:
2. A lot of people feel that her prior comments about how women should hold back something for their husbands and be covered up, makes her a hypocrite for wanting to be desirable.

On #RedTableTalk, she starts out by saying this comes from her insecurities ...
Simply, homegirl is human. She was/is insecure about women approaching her husband and it’s easier to admonish and tell women to cover up and save room for the Holy Ghost than to confront your own insecurity.
It doesn’t make it right but it’s understandable (which is the essence of most things). #fin
