1964 Civil Rights Act ... "All personnel actions shall be based solely on individual merit and fitness.” @LevarStoney Kamras plan to sack everyone based on politics/social issues is illegal and the City and you are likely to face lawsuits over it. Kamras has zero common sense.
There is a govt that added a “social” requirement. China. It’s a communist dictatorship. Some US govt positions are political appointees, but in regular jobs, it’s a violation of protection under various employment laws & ‘64 Civil Rights Act. Add an academic requirement.
Such as STEM requirement. Establish a science, math, other STEM requirement to help establish STEM in @RPS_Schools Good job training. Summer STEM camps. Like your code camps. That is a logical and challenging requirement to add. @LevarStoney
It would be challenging but what a turnaround that would be. I ordered a set of science education materials for Carver Elementary. Local professional societies may help train teachers.
Local industries & resources may help fund summer stem camps. @LevarStoney Grants possible too.

During the Civil War, the Republicans under Abraham Lincoln invented national taxation (including the income tax and the IRS), and ended racial slavery to enable black men to work hard and rise. The conjunction of these two things was crucial. /2
Taxes were enormously popular, except w/Democrats, who insisted they crushed ordinary Americans (in fact, the North thrived during the war). Still, everyone was happy when the war ended and the government was safe and strong economically. /3
