Absolutely inhumane. But U.S. is no better. We:

My client gave birth in shackles, after arrested for leaving her 6 year old in her apartment while she went looking for the new baby’s child after her water broke unexpectedly. They unshackled her briefly to breastfeed. ACS then took baby away for weeks. nytimes.com/2017/07/21/nyr…
