If you don't know the name Jerry Sandusky, research him.
A bunch of college kids angry that their icons were torn down. Unable to process it, turned and rioted, and demanded the "victim" Joe Paterno be reinstated.
They build a fever pitch of anger towards Penn State administration, feeling aggrieved, like your dad was sent to jail...
Joe Paterno was a good football coach, but a dumb old man at best, at worst an accomplice.
His sensibilities, however intentioned, failed him. He was correctly fired for not doing more.
I can understand the college kids rioting. Their shangri-la Happy Valley alcohol fueled world was torn down and a real face of horror was put in it's place.
But take a moment to understand the power of famous people. In this case small communities. Jerry Sandusky was a local god, and was largely an untouchable.
They were in the streets because their complicit football coach was fired.
Your football coach was fired in Happy Valley. Your beloved Hillary lost.
And then their faithful embark on a campaign of unhinged vitriol at having your fantasy worldview shattered, and replaced with reality.
That night of Penn State riots are a perfect reflection of what is happening today nationwide.
