Also one of my best friends (I'll let him identify himself if he wants) grew up Catholic in New Mexico, so, like Legit Catholic. He and a coworker were walking home from work when the missionaries approached them.
My friend said, in the voice a door would speak with as it slammed shut, "I'm Catholic," and kept walking. His coworker stopped and engaged.

"So," my friend says when telling this story, "I left him there."

"You abandoned him!?" we always gasp.
And his answer is, "I showed him what to do. He didn't do it."

Catholics do NOT MESS AROUND, yo.
And now I am signing off for the weekend. May your weekend be full of peace and restoration, and blessedly free of missionaries.

PSA for Christians, since apparently this is not clear to you: Things that are persecution:
-being shot during prayers
-having your house of worship burned
-hateful graffiti on your homes & houses of worship
-bomb threats
-laws preventing you from privately practicing your faith
Things that are not persecution:
-the existence of other religions
-having to allow people to practice their faith without your interference
-people not wanting to hang out with you because you're obnoxious
-a secular society letting people you don't like get married
Other things that are not persecution:
--people being allowed to leave your religion
--the election of lawmakers that are not members of your religion
--children in public schools learning that other religions--and people without religion--exist
--immigration

The same people saying American Christians are persecuted as much or more than racial and religious minorities are the ones saying "white genocide" is a thing.

This is a day full of betrayal.

@Archaeotagh had offered to drop off some lunch (which was, in fact, delicious) so when there was a knock on my door, I opened it without looking.
It was missionaries. And they didn't even have the decency to bring me food.
I opened the door, and there was a pair of women, in skirts, standing there. I had a moment of I HAVE MADE A TERRIBLE MISTAKE but now they had seen me so I couldn't just shut the door and pretend I wasn't home.

Our synagogue now has a police officer, two private security guards and a metal detector.
For years the retired cops at the front desk had guns but we were all more worried about a dirty bomb scenario. The head of the nursery school used to muse about her go bag.
When the Pittsburgh shooting happened I was actually in a synagogue at my best friends second sons Barmitzvah.

#New PA cong. map increases D chance of winning the House majority by 4%. They only need a 6.8% generic ballot margin now (down from 7.7) to be favored.

Diff. will be closer to 10% in Nov when uncertainty from polls is ⬇️. Redraw is a very big deal.

One major reason the new PA map is such a big gain for Democrats is that it solidifies, not just tips, PA districts in Philly burbs. Also creates one additional vulnerable R district. (Easily seen in this map made by @JMilesColeman)
My forecasting model will have new PA map in the near future. This is not just a simple switch; it’s a coding redesign, restructuring of input, & drawing new geographic files. Takes a while (for me, a student).

New #PA Congressional map is pretty much the best one Democrats could have hoped for. At least 2 pickups in neutral environment, likely ability to win 11 in current D+6 environment. Post coming
PA redraw creates map that is almost entirely drawn from scratch. Huge shifts from 2016 plan all over the place. Dems favored to win 9 seats there in almost any national environment.
(big swings mostly from renumbering, but aggregate differences are clear)
