In the summer of 2016, Deutsche Bank’s software flagged a series of transactions involving Kushner's real estate company - a review of transactions showed that money had moved from Kushner Companies to Russian individuals

McFadden was later transferred & fired

As @davidenrich notes a likely reason Trump is trying to block Deutsche from complying with congressional subpoenas is they would seek materials related to detection of suspicious activity in Trump accounts

Some of the transactions involved 💰 flowing back & forth w/ overseas entities or individuals, which bank employees considered suspicious

And said it was part of a pattern of the bank’s execs rejecting valid reports to protect relationships with lucrative clients.

Trump Org currently has “no operating accounts with DB.” She did not respond when asked if other Trump entities had accounts.

2. Spot the issue on the NY times @DeutscheBankAG SAR report? Now @realDonaldTrump Kushners accounts are relevant to every state regulator that has Trump Kushner accounts and tax returns need to go to law enforcement, not to mention @RepRichardNeal and his committee. 😎
3. IMO not filing a SAR is not common. They're routine IMO. Not something for top managment. #FinCEN trained employees deal with it. If I had RICO case against Trump I would definitely name @DeutscheBankAG as a RICO person now.

OK you guys-it's time we talk about Suspicious Activity Reporting, and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) in general.
Because we are DEFINITELY going to be hearing a lot more about this. law.cornell.edu/cfr/text/12/21…
Financial Institutions are required to report suspicious activities to FinCEN.
The onus of reporting is ON THE BANKS.
I repeat: It's the Financial Institution's responsibility to file the report.
Sometimes, the banks are corrupt, or inept, and SAR's don't get filed properly. They DO get in trouble for this, IF they get caught.
