Resist the urge to tell Blacks who lost fathers, sons, spouses and loved ones to mandatory minimums and draconian, racist laws, resulting from @JoeBiden’s crime bill, which targeted our people, that we must “forget about it” and vote for the father of mass incarceration.

Don’t you dare sit in your ivory white towers of privilege and dismiss our pain, like Trump is the worst thing that’s ever happened to us.

Your families & communities weren’t destroyed. You weren’t at the jail every weekend visiting a 1st time offender doing a mandatory 10 yrs.

You didn’t deal with the father who fought depression and alcoholism because he was unable to secure employment to take care of his family after being tagged with a criminal record and spending a decade in prison for a nonviolent 1st offense.

You didn’t have to sit and watch your sons get life sentences for racist three strikes laws wow repeat white offenders got slapped on the wrist.

You didn’t watch your sons get 10 years in prison for crack while their white counterparts got probation for powered cocaine.

You don’t have to watch retired law-enforcement officials get rich from opening marijuana dispensaries and selling the same product they criminalized and locked your family members away for.

So please, stay the hell out of my mentions with pious platitudes about @JoeBiden, the father of mass incarceration, and how I’m being divisive for calling him out on his arrogance in defending a bill that destroyed Black lives, families, and communities all over this nation.
