Sense you get talking to House Dems today is this is less about members moving from don't impeach to impeach, and more about grappling with what was once a theoretical discussion but now is very real and staring them in the face.
The other part of this is members are making a distinction between launching a formal impeachment inquiry and taking that final step of voting to impeach the president.
One argument is that initiating the impeachment inquiry helps Dems' legal case for getting documents. But some arguing they don't want to set precedent that exec branch can stonewall legitimate oversight unless they take what many see as a drastic step
