HOW TO GET YOUR DREAM JOB

Most people think it's like this:

Go study
⬇️
Get a diploma/degree/masters/PhD
⬇️
Apply for a job or do whatever
⬇️
Get your dream job
⬇️
Happiness

(THREAD)
It can be like that.

For some work, it is like that & has to be like that.

However, for some of you - especially NOW

there can be a different way

this isn't easy

it's hard work

but, it's possible.

Interested? 🤔

Read on. 😄
Here are the steps:

1. Decide what you like to do.

Write down ALL the things you enjoy doing (ALL),
even if you cannot imagine making money from it.

2. Look at your list, figure out what can make money

For example:

If you like to write, you COULD write an eBook & sell it.
At this point, don't think logically.

Just write down every idea,

no matter how illogical it is.
3. From the list, do research about whether

there are people doing what you'd like to do

AND

look like they're making money from it

(some may only look like they are

SOME, really are)
4. Reverse engineer:

a) what they are doing
b) how they started
c) what is their process

5. After researching, ask yourself:

Is this for me?

If yes, proceed to test.
6. Decide one thing you can do to begin this journey.

Wanna make money in music? 🎶

Find one thing you can do like:

+ post your version of a cover song
+ write a review of a gig

This is to TEST whether:
a) you like doing this
b) you can even do it
7. Now:

Repeat step 6 for
a) 1 year (trying different things in your dream job)
b) 1,000 times

Each time, figure out whether
a) what you did is helping you get closer to your dream job
b) it's helping you

+ develop your skills
+ make money
8. How to hack the process & be more successful FASTER

a) Get a mentor 🧐

Find someone AHEAD of you by 5 to 10 years,

pay them to teach you

study with them

meet them

do whatever it takes to meet them.

A mentor can save you YEARS

... if you get the right one.
b) Work harder AND smarter 😎

If you're lazy, you WILL fail.

Most people are either:
- not trying hard enough
- doing too little
- not testing quick enough
- not improving daily
- quit too soon

Do the work.

It's hard.

But do it,

if you want it.
c) Don't give up 💪

Most people quit too soon.

No one said this was easy.

That's why a lot of people hate their jobs.

Why would you spend 5 days of the week
doing something you hate?

Well, most of it is for survival & money.

Nothing wrong with that.
But if you really want to do something else,

you can give it a try.

After all, if it doesn't work,

you still have your not dream job.
Most of this advice is for creatives

People in the arts

Risk takers

this isn't for everyone

but it might be for you.

Think about it.
