In case it's not obvious: leakers to the NYT are burning this so called source to cover their tracks for political reasons, in case Trump declassifies via Barr. Exact same approach taken with Halper, Turk and others.
And if (or when) it turns the source is ALSO A SOURCE FOR STEELE...🔥
Oh and the source isn't going to be in any danger at all if they were deliberately passing on disinformation on behalf of Putin. Maybe in danger of laughing too hard along with Putin.
