The biggest issue in the #ttrpg industry isn't the reach of Dungeons & Dragons. Its that we have Content Creators who say,
"I don't care about the money."
"I'm not looking to get rich"
No. Stop this. Stop it right now.
Then you won't make money.
That's it.
Stop letting your love for the hobby rob you of a livelihood. You can charge an equitable price AND making a living.
One last and extremely harsh word..
Find your vision, fuel your passion and give it your ALL. The industry needs that and you deserve it.
Seriously. Shame on you. If you enjoy working for peanuts then fine. Go do it in your own corner and stop adding to the devaluation of creative work.
I was the Area VP of my local union at one time. I'm passionate about a LOT of things, but you won't find something I'm more passionate about that Fair Wages.
I've been at the negotating table. I've talked with a state labor board.
I'm not just talking out my ass.
When someone says YOU can't make it, they're really just telling you how THEY couldn't make it.
Don't let someone else's failures dictate your life.
