I know I was joking with @bryanbehar about disaster movies, but I follow this modeling and this is gearing up to be deadly. Follow local orders. Be smart. And others think about giving through Red Cross or other efforts. 1/
I’ll get into my (no one listens to me) policy discussion about how our entire disaster management process is flawed, thenational flood insurance program needs to be revamped, and rethinking where we put our damn military bases (looking at you Offutt AFB) once this has ended. 2/

Hard? Let's make this simple, non-techy. Jack was faced with a typical management choice and he's pretending like its a new, free-expression issue. It's simple: all rules are at risk of being over or underinclusive. Not unique. Safety rules always falls on one side or other. 1/
Take rules regarding airline travel and security: a rule that says anyone who travels last minute and pays with cash will get additional screening (for terrorism or illegal behavior). That's not true in ALL instances, so its an overinclusive rule. 2/
So your pool is large but that's better than it being too small. It doesn't mean that the rule is wrong, only that then you need ways to make it more refined, like exceptions for TSA preclear or over 75yo). These may be underinclusive so its a constant balance. Nothing new. 3/

I think it would be useful for major and credible newspapers to make clear to their reporters and the public how they will utilize the content of WikiLeaks stolen emails and information. 1/
Having spent considerable reporting resources on the Russia investigation, they are well aware of the IC finding that Wikileaks is an agent of a Russian power. 2/
I know there was some public soul searching by papers about how they were used to sow the seeds of division in 2016, especially since WikiLeaks favored one candidate over another. 3/

It’s not so Ducks Unlimited hunting enthusiasts can use AR-15 to kill deer & moose.

Armed militias asking why they can’t line up border crossers & shoot them. Like Hitler.
Wondering why Scheer won’t distance himself from violence prone nationalists?

This is why.

Climate change will displace billions & make them refugees. CPC has no plans to address global warming.

But they want to expand gun owner rights & import more lethal weapons.
I’ve even seen talk of concealed carry permits.

How NDP can partner with these miscreants, I don’t know.

CPC knows climate change is real, regardless of the doubt they propagate to citizens.

Trump is gearing up for private militias. Perhaps Scheer & CPC are planning ahead?
