I’ve spent 2 days immersed in #StarWarsGalaxysEdge. What’s truly impressive is that no detail is too small & everything is done in service of the story. Here’s a thread of few of my fav things. Stay tuned @PopMech for more.
The enclosure in the middle, with its best-up dome and antenna (hard to see in this pic), looks like the helmet of a certain iconic bounty hunter. I’m fairly sure that wasn’t by accident. @PopMech #StarWarsGalaxysEdge

Denying or downplaying the #Holocaust is not new. It has been a recurring theme by AJ arabic since its establishment. 1/
AJ has continued to recycle myth that number of #Holocaust victims is debatable, deny extermination & has accused Zionist movement of benefiting from it.
AJ+, however, always claimed it is different, but n reality, it is run by the same leftists/Islamists who deny Holocaust 2/
What I find hilarious is how some top Israeli journalists have convinced themselves for years that appearing in AJ will help bringing peace and fight antisemitism.

Here is a #thread for the May 14th court proceedings in the trial for #NXIVM leader Keith Raniere. These are my notes after reading through the transcripts provided by court.
Court begins with an immediate sidebar which is redacted from the transcripts. After a discussion the jury is brought in and the judge explains an alternate juror was sick and they would adjourn for the day. The attorneys still have some things to discuss, however.
A discussion starts by assistant U.S. Attorney Moira Penza. She says some materials have to do with things recovered during a search warrant at Nancy Salzman’s home at 3 Oregon Trail when Raniere was arrested.

2. A batch of Writ Petitions challenging the ECI's decision to audit EVM counts using VVPATs in no more than one polling station per constituency are coming for hearing. 2/n
3. First of those was filed by M.G. Devasahayam (a former civil servant who has has himself conducted elections) and others. The Supreme Court had issued notice in the matter in January this year. thehindu.com/news/national/…

That the Clerk failed to brief out the one item on his call with JWR (SNC), something the PM was in a mood about, something the PM had spoken to Wernick about that very day. Because holidays.
(This, let’s remember, is the SNC call the PM *asked* the Clerk to make the *day after* PMO (Butts-Telford) hauled in JWR’s chief of staff to tell her to get in line (ie DPA) on SNC)

So there’s this emerging cadre of judges who write opinions that seem clever and erudite and get some adoring attention. But here’s the thing. At a conference of pretty bright academics of various persuasions and we have two things we seem to all think about those opinions 2/
