Every journalist, analyst, politician, and awakened citizen in the world needs to keep their eyes on Sudan. If its military council decides to commit a massacre in order to disperse a nonviolent sit-in, do not pretend you didn't know.
Sudan's current military leadership is backed by the regimes of Saudi Arabia and the UAE, the very regimes who backed Egypt's Sisi, Libya's Haftar, and are committing war crimes in Yemen. If a massacre is committed in Sudan, you know who gave the green light.
The political agency of over 400 million citizens of Arab countries is hostage to the rulers of Saudi Arabia and the UAE, who either control our destiny or seriously threaten it. This situation is not sustainable and cannot continue. The backlash will come and it won't be pretty.
We won't forget. We won't forgive. We won't give up. We won't give in. A handful of men will not hold our future hostage forever.
