@MissouriGOP @stltoday @tonymess I am a suburban mom in Ann Wagner’s district. I have called multiple times over the past two years. I have never received return calls. The person who answers the phone never has “spoken to the Congresswoman about that” no matter what my question is. /1
@MissouriGOP @stltoday @tonymess My biggest issue is that everyday from September to May, I drop my son off at school never knowing if I will be picking him up alive at school or dead at the morgue because of the proliferation of guns in our country. /2
@MissouriGOP @stltoday @tonymess My son’s school (he is 13 y/o) has taught him how to respond in the event of a shooting. If the shooter is in the room, he has been taught to attack the shooter and throw things at shooter but to aim for the head because it will distract him. /3

My son is 13 y/o and his school is teaching him to martyr himself because Ann can’t stand up to the NRA. In fact, I listened in on one of her tele-town halls /4

Each member of my immediate and extended family has a pre-existing condition. Wagner has repeatedly voted to strip the pre-existing /5

@MissouriGOP @stltoday @tonymess Oh, and those tax cuts? Our taxes went up this year. As did the cost of our groceries. We had to replace our 11 y/o van and our similarly aged clothes drier. We paid more because of the President’s tariffs.

@MissouriGOP @stltoday @tonymess Like Ann, I grew up Catholic and attended Catholic schools. I never thought I would have an abortion. But then I needed one. I had an ectopic pregnancy that needed to be terminated. My doctor hesitated. Unbeknownst to me, had a moral objections to abortion.
@MissouriGOP @stltoday @tonymess This moral objection clouded her clinical decision making. The pregnancy ruptured while I was driving on Hwy. 40 with my 11 mo old son in the back of the van. I nearly bled to death. I have since become a fierce advocate for a woman’s ability to make her own health care decisions
@MissouriGOP @stltoday @tonymess and for doctors and hospitals to leave their moral objections and their religion out of the exam rooms. Freedom of religion must also include freedom from religion.
@MissouriGOP @stltoday @tonymess My son and I both have asthma. There are days in the summer where it is dangerous to our health to be outside in Ann’s district because the air quality and pollution is so bad. The American Lung Association grades parts of Ann’s district an “F” for ozone pollution.
@MissouriGOP @stltoday @tonymess My husband and I are both health care professionals. My husband is a researcher and physician. Ann’s embrace of the GOP’s science-free, fact-free, truth-free talking points and de-regulatory agenda runs afoul of the very things to which we have devoted our professional lives.
@MissouriGOP @stltoday @tonymess So, here I am. A suburban woman who never knocked on doors for an election, who never donated to a political campaign before 2017. Now, I am a mom on a mission. I want a better future my son, my nieces and nephews. Another term for Ann Wagner just isn’t a part of that future.
