This is good reporting that sounds like it's probably mostly accurate to me.

But what I want to read is journalism like this, but about the Kremlin. *That* would tell me something I didn't basically already know.
Is it out there? Is anyone in Russia writing this way about what it's like to try to carry out Putin's foreign poiicy directives? (I presume not overtly, but perhaps it makes sense if you know how to read between the lines.)
Do we have to wait for the next Wikileaks dump to see what State thinks? (That's the closest thing we had to serious foreign reporting.) Are any US journalists trying to cover it, either from there or from abroad? @MarkGaleotti is the only one I can think of. Tips?
