One of the reasons climate alarmism works so well:
When something bad happens, it gets blamed on climate
When nothing bad happens — you don't hear about it

And yes, that is a problem.

But remember, 1) even the US Climate Assessment says that flooding has both increased and decreased, and can't be attributed to climate

Working on Sunday, grateful for everyone realizing climate change not a horror-story but problem (2-4%), and doing the single-soul best to make the world better through effective policies (like tb, malaria, contraception, free trade) and not just making energy more expensive
(And yes, global warming is real, but the alarmist codswallop of 'horror' simply scares kids and adults, makes them accept hugely costly policies, while being untrue — cost about 2-4%, as shown by UN Climate Panel, here updated by Nobel Laureate Nordhaus, nber.org/reporter/2017n…)

Since the British explorer George Mallory died in the frozen arms of Everest in 1924, more than 200 more explorers have perished in the icy folds of the mountains.
2. They are usually simply left on the surface there, the year-round subzero temperatures preserving the bodies perfectly in a frigid cover of snow and ice. About two years ago, Mallory's body, along with others became exposed and some had to be covered with cairns.
3 2The Nepalese government has had to move in to evacuate bodies because there are no longer guaranteed free refrigeration services. The Nepalese make good money from Everest tourism but this new undertaker job is burning a hole in their budget and they don’t like it one bit.

Second: The actual experts do not agree with you, and your fear-mongering is likely causing more harm than good.

#Khashoggi Case Thread: I am going to ‘pin’ this post to use it as an ‘Info Thread’ on the #Khashoggi Case. I am in #Turkey. I’ve been following the case closely and with access to sources & experts here. This is a very ‘sensitive’ criminal case due to ‘Diplomatic Booby Traps’!!!
The Evidence Obtained Outside Cameras will not show any evidence of ‘tempering’ but other than license plates of dozens of diplomatic cars (Many with tinted windows-large trunks) with related time stamp, drivers Info, model/year: Nothing.
#Turkish Intel-Investigative Bodies also have the list of all Diplomatic & Private Saudi & “other significant’ Planes in #Turkey for the period of ‘interest.’ Many of the Target airports have their own security cameras & related evidence.

THREAD: It was pretty clear in the days after Hurricane Maria that people were getting sick and dying more than usual. I met people whose relatives ran out of oxygen and died, contracted bacteria from rat urine, or couldn't get dialysis.
Even when the government said all hospitals were open, General Buchanan, who led U.S. military efforts in Puerto Rico, said to me: "Define open." And he was right: I found hospitals that weren't taking new patients or only taking pregnant women. Or that had no air conditioning.
Then I attended a press conference in Puerto Rico, where PR government officials insisted that it was basically a coincidence that nearly 500 more people had died of "natural causes" in September 2017 versus 2016.
