Urgent Humanitarian Appeal
Since the massacre of June 3rd, 2019, the Military Council and Janjaweed Militias have continued to murder and terrorize unarmed citizens across Sudan. They have used the most brutal means including rape, beating, and opening fire on unarmed citizens with the intent of killing
This has resulted in the loss of more than a hundred innocent lives. It has been difficult to quantify the actual number of victims. This, in part, is due to the intentional shutdown of the internet services in the country by the Military Council, which
, which made communications to verify and document the casualties extremely difficult.

At the time of writing this appeal, 113 people were killed by the military junta. All of these deaths were documented by doctors under the direct supervision of the Central Committee of Sudan
Doctors.

Our hospitals are overcrowded with injuries. Essential emergency equipment and medical supplies (such as analgesics and intravenous solutions) are lacking. There is a great shortage in medical staff, mainly caused by the military militias targeting doctors and preventin
g them from reaching hospitals and clinics to perform their duty. Five major hospitals in the capital got totally shut down by these militias, and two more got partially shut down. For all these reasons, more and more lives are being lost every day.

In light of this ongoing hum
humanitarian crises, we appeal to the United Nations to pressure the Military Council to immediately stop these human rights violations, ensure the safety of our medical staff, and refrain from interfering with the delivery of medical care to injured citizens.
We also appeal to the World Health Organization, and to regional and international health and non-governmental organizations, to provide medical aid and help the Sudanese people to get through this humanitarian crises caused by the military council and its militias.
