There's a lot of misinformation out there about how antifascists treat former fascists and white supremacists. Which is too bad, because it's actually one of the few things that antifascists have a strong and simple consensus on...
1. Make sure they made a clean break 2. Put them in touch with other former fascists and white supremacists 3. Leave them alone.
It's that simple. They're just not on the active radar anymore. They can succeed or fail on their own terms. They can make restitution to the people they've harmed on their own terms.
Of those three steps the first is actually the most complicated, because sometimes the break is messy and the person goes back and forth. But if they're getting death threats from their old buddies, that usually counts as a clean break.
We don't necessarily forget or forgive or trust, but we make sure the door to the exit is unlocked and ready.
There's no Soros money waiting when you walk out that door and close it behind you, but there are no torments of the damned either. It's just regular life and facing the bad choices you made and working through them to become a better person, hopefully. But that's up to you.
