Culture contains elements of experience, learned behaviour, knowledge, meanings. relations, power structures, capabilities,
values, possessions. belief & attitudes.

Each of these elements have context and can be mapped. Once again, as with strategy, no-one has done the mapping.
... lots of discussion about context, evolution and the transient nature of culture from what is learned to what is socially inherited. But ... no maps, no mechanism of learning around the elements. Once again, what the hell have business schools been teaching?
As a subject it is as fuzzy as strategy which means the line - "culture eats strategy for breakfast" roughly translates into "this huge amount of hand waving eats that huge amount of hand waving for breakfast". Too much verbiage and no situational awareness ...
... endless amounts hidden behind its own arcane vocabulary to disguise the fact that the field seems to be built on sand. I'm going to enjoy kicking this field of "culture" and it deserves it.
Oh, and it will be with vengeance in mind. I've read some long and difficult to read books (due to the arcane wording) that contain one idea usually of the type "culture is transient" or "culture evolves" or "culture is both learned and inherited" ... really? An entire book?
