Spiritual leaders have no business disciplining other adults; we are called to disciple others, not discipline.
If a member of the church is a “wolf” and is abusive or dangerous, CALL THE POLICE and let them do the “disciplinary actions.”
Pastors & elders are not the police.

If one is in extreme sin THAT IS HARMFUL to member(s) of your church (but not illegal) & they refuse to stop after a conversation (not discipline) from spiritual leaders, ask this person to leave your church. No adult has control over another person; Spirit gives us SELF-CONTROL.
When I say “extreme sin,” I’m not taking about drinking, smoking, consensual sex outside of marriage, lgbtq relationships (these are grey areas; which is why the universal church debates these matters). I’m talking biblical examples of extreme sin: adultery, incest, abuses, etc.
Sin that is directly (not indirectly in one’s perspective) harmful to other humans is “extreme” and shouldn’t be ignored; but, God is the judge and all spiritual leaders can truly do is call the police if necessary or simply ask the person to leave your church. No less & NO MORE.
