While there’s been corruption boiling in our US government for quite a while & many of our past politicians have fallen prey to moments of human weakness, never in my lifetime have I seen a president blantanly wear his constant sins unashamedly & w/the blessing of many Christians

What makes this painful for me and many people around my age is that the Christians who are supporting this president are white evangelicals; the very people who trained me/us to never place such an *unrepentant* sinful man as president or in any other leadership position.

When we bring this up, many white evangelicals who still support Trump say, “well you’re a sinner too; who are you to judge?”

Or

“Well Hillary & Bill sinned too”

It’s not Trump’s sins that are the most disturbing; it’s his ability to constantly do wrong (such as lying & cheating) without any measure of personal remorse/responsibility; while the white evangelical Church justifies his unchanging character defects with Jesus’ name & Church.

It’s the fact that Trump is not embarrassed (and doesn’t try to hide) any of his character defects and the wrong actions that he takes; and sadly, most of the white evangelical church do not seem embarrassed either. Bill Clinton was embarrassed of his character defects & actions.

There should be great sorrow for what has happened to our country and Church. This is why it’s so crucial to keep church & state separated. We are walking on the dangerous grounds of UNREPENTANT corruption & hypocrisy as government & church join forces to do evil in good’s name.
