3/Cocos-CBX is the new blockchain business for Cocos. Testnet launched June 6th, with MainNet coming 2H19. Importantly, they are purely an infrastructure player so they aren’t in the content business (the ‘high risk with a lot of ups and downs’ business.)
4/Interesting! WeChat + Cocos launched its first blockchain concept game last week in China - it hit #5 in the App Store in 4 days with a total players = to the total crypto community in China (encouraging to see immediate broad experimentation.)
5/ On NFTs (Non Fungible Tokens), Cosmos created their own standard - NHAS-1808. Simplified, this allows them to make the standard unified and extendable and advances current standard like ERC-1185 bc it allows gamers to own, upgrade and exchange assets on multiple chains.
6/ Cocos-BCX believes that they must have a *cross chain* solution that works on Ethereum, EOS, Tron and others (I agree -this is key!) 4 wallets - mobile for iOS and Android, DT for Mac, Windows, TRON extension - all open source.
7/ Blockchain game developers want 2 things! 1) trustable randomness (key functionality for loot boxes) and 2) timers (timing in game). Cocos-BCX put both of these on chain for transparency in game. Unlike others, all edits and updates of smart contracts occur on chain.
