Some people heard that there was "bipartisan support" for criminal justice reform and mistakenly believed that there would not be pitched battle to hold on to the status quo. But the push back against progressive prosecutors has been fierce - especially against Black women.
Electing progressive prosecutors comes with the obligation to stay engaged and to monitor and stand against attempts to undermine the effectiveness of those officials you elected precisely to challenge racism & unfairness in the criminal justice system. Keep your eye on this.
