If u accuse someone of living in a parallel universe does that not automatically label u as also living in a parallel universe? U have acknowledged that u & the other person are living in 2 different universes. U are assuming your universe is correct/only one. Big assumption.
Fwiw I like the term living in a bubble much better. It assumes there is only one reality and the person has created a bubble to escape from/explain that reality. Those in a bubble can be "right or wrong" in that explaination of the reality. The further they get from reality..
....the bigger the consequences when reality asserts itself. If they entered to escape, when reality reasserts, it may cause insanity in those seeking escape. There can be many bubbles at a time but only one reality. That reality is governed by certain unchangeable facts.
The bubbles can change the margins of reality but it can't change reality, itself. Attempting to do so always ends in massive pain, misery, and destruction.
