Let me give you an example of just how dishonest all these arguments have been:

How many people are aware that the conditions being discussed in this viral clip from the legal case re toothbrushes and sleep occurred during the Obama administration?

This was an appeal of a 2017 ruling related to a violation of the Flores agreement during the Obama admin. The gov't lawyer's job is not to argue about whether ICE should provide those things (they should), but that the Obama admin didn't violate the Flores agreement.
Her argument has nothing to do with any unique policy from the current administration. Informed people know that, but they have been using this for days to suggest some unique and intentional cruelty is being enforced now.
Here was the ruling they are reviewing. You will notice that the original finding of a breach of the Flores agreement occurred in 2015.

There seems to be a lot of confusion about the issues on the border and the actual process. I'm going to try to lay out some of the facts in one thread to make it easy for future reference.

The process is much more complicated for children so that's what I will focus on.
After someone is caught near the border having crossed illegally, they are taken to a CBP facility for processing.

These facilities have recently been holding between 14,000-18,000 people on any given day.
Out of that number, around 2K are unaccompanied alien children.

These are either children that came alone or were separated (as required by law) from other adults (not parents) that brought them across.

We totally have to bailout this person with a 6-figure salary because they feel entitled to your money despite their own questionable decisions.
And when tuition rates skyrocket as a result of these bailouts, we have to pay for that too.

Any of our firefighters going to call her out for this ridiculous smear?

I guess concerns about incitement and toning down rhetoric aimed at members of Congress don’t apply here.
In reality, it is AOC and her allies that have refused funding for improving conditions because they want to use these stories advocate for a 0-enforcement agenda.
Remember that calling out Ilhan Omar for antisemitism = incitement, but comparing Republicans to Nazis and suggesting they want to put kids in cages is just acceptable political rhetoric.

This #WomensHistoryMonth, I'm going to try and highlight cases of women's active involvement in post-Cold War conflicts. The cases I'm discussing are among those featured in my newly released book Insurgent Women, and my prior book Why Women Rebel (now in paperback).

Can we just stop saying that Longguo called his fans delusional? He literally never said that. The caption said disillusioned and was mistranslated in that thread of "proof". He never said he hates his fans either. He did say some were like nagging mother in laws or smt like that
I wanted to share my thoughts on this "proof" thread but I see some Joyfuls reported the poster and she was suspended. Not cool guys. I can understand because that thread was full of misinfo but she had a really nice Jung Sewoon account and only tried to help by translating 😑
The translation was a bit lacking and it did cause a lot of misunderstandings but there wad another thread commenting and debunking some of the claims also. I'm guessing that also disappeared with the original thread.
I just want to clear some things up.
