It's fascinating to see conservatives pretend that where you go to school is of minimal consequence, as though they weren't just claiming that Harvard was ruining a young man's life for rescinding his acceptance for saying the n-word repeatedly.
White kid says n-word: "WHAT, Harvard hates freedom of speech now?! His life is over if he can't attend this vaunted institution."
Other kid accepted but can't afford tuition: "Maybe she belongs with the other poors at an affordable state school."

Just to be abundantly clear: folks can do great things with degrees from community colleges, let alone state schools. In fact, for price, I'd highly recommend it. But let's also not pretend Ivy League institutions don't offer incredible career perks and opportunities.
