Virgin trains seem to have instructed their train managers to give announcements like they are 1980s Radio 2 presenters, adding a bit of sparkling repartee

I deeply dislike The Times story about Corbyn’s health. It’s based on no medical evidence, just a couple of senior civil servants allegedly saying he isn’t too on top of details. Which people have said about him for years. It also robs him of agency for the mess that Labour is in
It reminds me of all the stuff about Trump’s mental health. I can’t stand Trump, but I think that unless you have solid medical evidence it’s an ugly tactic to speculate on someone’s mental health. It’s also counter productive
And Corbyn is absolutely right to say that civil servants shouldn’t be briefing journalists in this way. This stuff about the Machiavellian puppeteers around him is also

As has happened again and again, the Labour Party's institutions are politically manipulated over antisemitism, until an outcry becomes so loud that the initial decision is reversed. How anyone can trust these processes to deal with racism is beyond me
Important to understand what has happened here. As far as I can tell, and your guess is as good as mine, since Jennie Formby has no power to overturn the decision (only NEC can), she has decided that the decision was never made due to issues with the panel.

Farce.

I have also tried to get to the bottom of how - and whether - the IHRA definition of antisemitism applies in the Labour disciplinary process. I have spoken to people in the party and I am none the wiser than @FactCheck channel4.com/news/factcheck…
There was a lot of confusion around the time of the IHRA definition being ‘adopted’ by labour as to whether a binding vote had happened, whether it would have to be approved by some kind of rules committee or even labour conference but people seem to have moved on.
Note that EHRC have the adequacy of the Labour Rule Book as part of their terms of reference so I assume this will be looked at. But would be good to know now. equalityhumanrights.com/sites/default/…

Slowly getting sick of commuting the half hour journey every morning from Milton Keynes to Euston with Virgin Trains. Never any seats (I walk the *entire* train to check so dont tell me there are seats in Coach A, there most certainly are not) and i pay £515 a month to stand.
On the way back in the evening its even worse as i cant breathe in Standard Class due to the air conditioning never being on in the standard class carriages but always being on in First Class.
The reason i cant breathe without the aircon is due to the sheer amount of carbon dioxide concentration in the overcrowded (and i mean crowded to the point of people standing in the seating areas) vestibules in Second Class.

Okay, so today we're not going to do the flag thread, because this one is _really huge_. Today, we're going to talk about how I'm going to do it, and what that means.
My normal resource for this is straight up looking at these things on wikipedia, and that's a great, useful resource but contributed by fans and enthusiasts.

It also presents a problem of scale.
Some states-and-territories have a tiny number of city flags; some have an ENORMOUS number. Obviously. I mean, Wyoming has two major cities! Some places that have like, more people than Iceland, have more cities!

Taejin idol au | ballad singer Seokjin is jaded after being forced to stay in the box with his genre; lead guitarist Taehyung of rock band Lost My Way feels like their album is missing that certain sound. Their worlds collide to remedy these problems.
Taehyung is frustrated. He--lead guitarist and singer--along with his bandmates--Jimin, on bass and Jungkook on drums--have been recording all day, but with little success. Something is just off, or missing.
As he listens back to one of their recordings, it hits him: he's sick of his own voice.

Not in an insecure, self deprecating, way, he knew he was a good singer, but...there was just too much of him. Creatively, he felt like they could expand these tracks if they had more vocals.
