Antifa, the twisted movement that put journalist @MrAndyNgo in hospital today is openly supportive of violence. They attack people with bike locks, concrete, even acid.

They're allowed a free rein on the same tech platforms that CLAIM to ban hatred, extremism, and violence.
Antifa planned an actual acid attack more than two years ago and tech companies still host, support, and even employ the movement's members. These incidents have been happening for years. They don't care!

I promised a thread on "centrists" vs "partisans" earlier. Here it is!

It's easy to believe that centrists, by virtue of their own self-declared beliefs, are less biased than partisans. They're not. They're just prone to a different type of bias.

It may even be a WORSE bias!
Why worse? Because a partisan's biases are easy to detect, whereas a centrist's are not.

If a conservative labels something socialist, put your critical thinking skills on alert. Likewise if a leftist labels something racist.

When do you put your guard up with a centrist?
How do I know centrists have their own set of biases? Because condemning tribalism and bubbles doesn't mean you can escape it. Centrists follow other centrists, read other centrists, watch other centrists. Crucially, they TRUST other centrists - which is where bias comes in.

How many times does antifa have to show its brutality before people believe it? Last summer in Portland, a leftist brought a flag to a protest against the right. Antifa attacked him, thinking he was a “fascist.” He was beat on head & laid in pool of blood.
The network of pro-antifa journalists have sanitized & white-washed the extremist group to some success. Come to Portland to witness for yourself the indiscriminate brutality of the street movement. Even the local media can’t ignore their extremism: oregonlive.com/portland/2018/…

At today’s May Day #antifa street protest against ICE, my camera equipment was sprayed w/silly string. Lucky that Oregonian’s @bethnakamura stepped in to stop him. Later, I was punched in abdomen by masked man. @PortlandPolice said they wouldn’t help because that would escalate.
Was assaulted outside the @CiderRiot on 807 NE Couch by masked Antifa thugs.
I was sprayed in the face point blank with pepper spray outside the @CiderRiot, where Antifa had amassed. They cheered as I was blinded. Before that, they threatened me & brought up my mother’s name. A woman helped me across the street. Please help me identify person:

1. I just saw the footage that’s being spread around from a protest in Portland on Saturday that people are claiming shows antifa directing traffic and yelling a drivers who won’t comply.
2. I spent 5 minutes Googling and reading news articles to find out that the protesters seem to have been part of a protest following a fatal police shooting on 9/30/18 in which some claim the man was unarmed. Police say he was armed.

3. One of the videos going around doesn’t show that the elderly white driver who was chased down the street did so after driving through a crowd of protesters with one directly in front of his car.
