Alright, there’s a lot going on here. I thought I would share my personal feelings about this, if anyone is interested.
Let me start by saying I have problems w/ her record as a prosecutor and her current stances on various issues. My #1 candidate is Bernie.
The birtherism is obviously racist garbage.
I’ve seen posts about her not being eligible to be President, about secretly being an “anchor baby,” etc.
A lot of it is incoherent and clearly only happening because she’s Black.
Now let’s get into the nuance.
When it comes to her confrontation of Biden about his work with segregationists to oppose busing, I support her decision.
(Don’t come @ me w/ “he didn’t oppose busing, he supported states’ rights.” That’s weak and you know it.)
In response to @DonaldJTrumpJr sharing stuff about her not being “black enough” to say what she said:
It is insulting PERIOD to tell a Black person they aren't "Black enough."
She doesn’t speak for ALL Black Americans, but no one does!
I did notice that her confrontation w/ Biden happened right after @marwilliamson brought up reparations for descendants of slaves.
As a result, everyone ignored the topic of reparations entirely. I would like @KamalaHarris to use her platform to talk about this.
So those are my thoughts right now.
What do y'all think?
