I often talk about how we are ignoring the unraveling of the nation because POTUS has learned to rule by tweet/crazy diversion & news takes the bait everytime.

Here's some things from JUST TODAY that show increasing institutional capture/fragility under this admin: /1
1 -- State Dept launches its new "Commission on Unalienable Rights" to redefine what human rights are.

Why be concerned? Many critics believe Pompeo, who is deeply religious, will use this to bring project the admin's anti-abortion agenda from State.../2

... He reassured no one by appointing a hardline anti-abortion professor as the head of the commission.

But it's worth looking further -- at Pompeo's words themselves -- to understand how bend-reality this will be. /3

Well, tweeps, following a pony show this morning (no, really), the McKew sisters will embark on a semi-ridiculous roadtrip to our parents' old house to spend the weekend sorting through boxes from high school & college that were abandoned long ago, b/c clearly we don't need them.
Again, no, really.

But as we never want to hear about these boxes again, off we go!

It's 10000% humidity, raining, and we're driving a huge van so my parents can load it with stuff we will probably throw in a gas station dumpster 500m from the house.
I've packed one dress and 2 bottles of Jameson.

Anyway, if there's a lot of cursing this weekend, now you know why!

I've been thinking about this photo. They should have included Marianne Williamson.

This is not an endorsement of her views, by any means.

But she beat out elected officials to be on that stage, & the way she was visibly shunned by others felt...bad.

Our president is a man with no credentials beyond creating a brand. Surely, we've all lost the right to say who "deserves" to stand before us for consideration as a national leader.

She qualified. She has done the work to be in the race, met the standard for the next debate too.
She should get the time to explain her views, because regardless how she got it, she has a constituency.

Most likely, I will continue to snark at them -- just as I will Tulsi, because 🙄🙄

Last night, following the Presidential Address, Anons noticed the feeds seemed different throughout channels. Was it the camera angle? Many Anons felt @POTUS was infront of a green screen. Where was he if not at the White House?
2. POTUS then posted a thank you message with added OOO in "soooo many nice comments". Anons theorized over the extras O's but one Anon nailed it! POTUS' tweet matches drop 946 💥 BOOM.
3. Great insight from Anon: #POTUS has now set a precedent. The networks all broadcasted the Oval Office address, which means ANY future addresses must be broadcasted. Stable genius is in the house!
