Interesting piece, but not sure that “social liberal, economic conservative” captures pro-life @justinamash.

Does that description applies to libertarians generally? Many are pro-life and take “socially conservative” opinions on religious liberty: washingtonpost.com/opinions/2019/…
It strikes me that “economic conservative, social liberal” applies to a really small wing of mainly the GOP that believed (at one point) that, say, Christine Todd Whitman was the future of the party. That simply doesn’t describe libertarianism, which is far more eclectic.
Another thing I’d add — libertarians often get labeled “conservative” or “liberal” depending on the kind of government overreach they’re responding to.

Greater school choice-conservative?

Prison reform-liberal?

More free speech-conservative?

The labels just aren’t precise.
And while it’s clear the LP itself isn’t exactly an electoral juggernaut, a raft of libertarian ideas have proven to be popular and effective (especially) at the state level. Folks just don’t know they’re “libertarian” because they get adopted by one or both parties.
