I’ve been seeing some gay men on here defend “sexual liberation” politics and be pro-fetish because supposedly it’s been that way since gay liberation days. Well I’m here to tell you that type of politics hasn’t actually ever helped homos in general and gay men specifically.

I don’t care how many orgasms you’ve had because of it. I really don’t care, cause here are some of the reasons why “sexual liberation” hasn’t helped homosexuals, male or female:

1) This is the second time in history pedophiles have tried to infiltrate the movement. From this vantage point it seems that this time they might actually be successful. “Age doesn’t matter. Love is love.” On the left.

2) A deadly pandemic of an unknown sexually and blood transmitted disease that nobody wanted to touch with a ten foot pole. This was mostly a gay male problem, but lesbians lost many male friends in the 80s and 90s.

3) Pornography influencing everyone’s sexual tastes to the point of saturation. Mostly a male problem where women are the victims. But porn saturated gay men are no fun for the gay men who aren’t and want a committed relationship, I can tell you that.

4) BDSM and other fetishes also influencing everyone’s sexual tastes to the point where you have to deal with people who have weirdos with disgusting sexual tastes that most of us “vanillas” can’t bear and we’re called “prudes” for it.

5) Straight people claiming their fetishes as “queerness” and colonizing the movement. If you yell “sexual liberation” the straights will come uninvited to the party and ruin it, guaranteed!

6) The “sex work is work” crowd claiming something done out of economic desperation, that has no safeguards, and whose beneficiaries don’t want regulation as “employment” in economically desperate times.

7) And finally, but most importantly, reaffirming the confirmation bias of anti-homosexual bigots that we are all just a bunch of perverts and deviants. More fuel for them to attempt to take away our rights, if they haven’t already done so.

Now specifically as a gay man, here is what I have to deal with thanks to “sexual liberation” politics:

A) Having my sexuality associated with either pedophilia when I have no sexual interest in children or kinks and fetishes I have no interest in participating in.

B) Having to deal with the fact that few gay men are willing to have a committed monogamous relationship and instead want to fuck around. Male sexual entitlement.

C) Having to deal with porn saturated gay shitheads who are more interested in the porn than in an actual relationship. More male sexual entitlement.

D) Having to deal with BDSM and fetish saturated weirdos on dating sites who you think are disgusting and want nothing to do with them, but they are all over the gay dating profiles. Even more “sexual” entitlement. (Cause some of that is not sexual, but literally piss and shit.)

E) Be one of the demographics for high probability of HIV and other STI infections. Puts more burden on us in terms of prevention. Which is fine, but if the “sexual revolution” hadn’t happened, I wonder...

F) Having to deal with idiots who think that having sex “for fun” with women or women who think they are men is part of being a “gay man”. Apparently one’s sexuality can’t be exclusive anymore, thanks in part to the “revolution”.

G) And now being associated with some fucked up, ridiculous dog mask fetish that I didn’t even know existed in the gay community until recently and even had to look it up:

I even originally thought it was mostly a straight male fetish based on this article from a couple of years ago: theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/2… We’re all the lady on the right now, I swear.

So no the “sexual revolution” hasn’t been all fun and games for all of us. Some of us think it’s a sham, not really worth the orgasms socially speaking. I mean, that’s why I’m pretty liberal in all other types of politics except gay male politics.

Cause all the “liberal politics” for gay males has been about reaffirming everyone’s prejudices about us and every Pride I end up being more and more ashamed of being a gay man for the fact that now I have to be associated with dudes wearing freaking dog masks!

Oh and masturbating gimps at children’s charities! Hurrah! I almost forgot! I feel so prideful about that! 🖕🏾

So quit your yapping about “sexual liberation” & “kink” because you are not helping. You’re part of the problem. I don’t care if you walk shirtless in Pride or even in speedos. Just make sure you’re not naked & dangling everywhere. And for fucks sake, leave the dog mask at home!
